Contestant Registration Form

All entries must be received no later than midnight on June 4, 2026.


Contest Guidelines

1. All contest aircraft must be in the competition display area no later than 8:30 am on Saturday, June 6, 2026.
2. All contest aircraft must remain in the competition display area until the event has concluded on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at approximately 11:30 a.m.
3. All contest aircraft owner/operators must show proof of current airworthy condition prior to the start of the competition.
4. The Colorado Aviation Historical Society will not be held responsible for any damage sustained to your aircraft or other personal property losses as a result of participation in the 2026 Colorado Aviation Classic.
5. All contest aircraft owner/operators agree to abide by all final decisions of the Colorado Aviation Historical Society judging staff.
6. CAC contest judges will be using a modified version of other similar vintage aircraft judging standards. It is recommended that contest aircraft owner/operators be present during judging to answer any questions the judges may have.
7. Contest judge inspection access will be limited to cabin and baggage compartment doors and easily opened cowls (not requiring the use of tools). Any further access is at the discretion of the owner/operator.
8. After landing at Boulder Municipal Airport (BDU), you will be directed to the contestant area, which will be situated in front of the main terminal building (Journey’s Aviation), on the paved main ramp.
9. After securing your aircraft, please report to the Colorado Aviation
Historical Society judges table on the south side of the paved ramp. (This
will be well marked with a Colorado Aviation Historical Society banner.
Ground handlers will also direct you to this pavilion.)
10. There will be a total of twenty (20) contestant slots available for this
year’s event.
11. For safety, you will be instructed to shut-down your engine as soon as you
are clear of the taxiway at the contest area. Ground handlers will then
assist you in moving your aircraft to its designated display position.
