Located on Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, this is where the brothers developed the first practical airplane (1904–1905).

A small National Park Service museum featuring exhibits on the Wright brothers and stone monument overlooking Huffman Prairie and Huffman Dam, erected to honor Orville and Wilbur Wright.

Among the attractions at this unique, 65-acre museum is the original 1905 Wright Flyer III, the world’s first practical airplane. The Flyer III, housed in Wright Hall, was restored under the personal direction of Orville Wright.

There is a charge for admittance: $14.00 for adults; $12.00 for seniors (60+) – the fee is well worth it.

The final stop of the day, this site actually includes three different museums featuring a museum on the brothers’ lives, a replica of their 1902 glider, and their bicycle shop.
Parking is along residential streets and you may be required to walk a block or two.
